Here is Canada Ammania Sp. Bonsai is one of those rare plants that you rarely see, and when people pay $5-10 for a stem, it made the $9.99 tub of Tropica 1-2 even more attractive.
Ammania Sp Bonsai Care
When I got home, I prepared the cutting tools, a small bowl of water, mist to keep the plants moist, and some old cloth containers that I bought earlier to hold the stems I cut once. Once I started working at Ammania Sp. Bonsai I was impressed with the root growth, although it is a slow and difficult process, taking more than 1 hour. I was able to save 103 stems between 1/4 inch and 2 inch in size and then distributed them in various humidity domes and planting tanks to test the growing conditions.

I will continue to add photos as the stems develop and look like Ammania Sp. Bonsai we know and love. I was very surprised to see tiny flower buds on Ammania. Sp considering how small bonsai real stems are. I have cut them twice since I bought them to encourage new growth and recoup my cost + running costs, so the tallest stem is 3.5 inches?
I took several of these stems, about 5-6, and dipped them into a high-tech planted aquarium to see if they would melt because they were grown as emergents. No melting.
This plant is painfully slow growing but very beautiful, enjoy the pictures and see the pictures as the flowers get bigger.
About a month ago I bought Ammania spa bath for the first time. Bonsai from Tropica’s 1-2 Grow Tissue Culture Plant and 103 stems planted in 4 different sets. After about two weeks I started getting a white cast on my plants in the humidity domes (I think the humidity was too high) and this white cast was able to completely kill the Amania sp. I have a bonsai.
Rotala Robustus ‘mini’ (rotala Indica, Ammania Bonsai)
I tried to act recklessly, trying to save the remaining stems and Ammania sp. The amazingly growing bonsai only then obliterated everything I had in that structure. It seems I transferred the “disease” to that tank, which is a pain because I have Ammania Sp. About 20 stems of bonsai +/- some.
I have this plant under four 36″ T5 fixtures with two 6700k bulbs and two rosette bulbs, as well as the homemade substrate mentioned earlier in my other posts.

Bonsai aka True Rotala Indica is a very easy plant to grow in optimal conditions once established. I have been growing this plant continuously for a long time, which gave me the opportunity to experiment with its flowers and seeds; But I don’t understand how the seeds will sprout by themselves without being attached to the plant.
When I see ripe pink open flowers, I take a small paint brush and collect pollen from one plant and place it on another open flower to artificially pollinate the plant. It has worked successfully for me for the past four months.
After a few weeks, the plant’s flower closes, then the flower turns itself into a seed, which feeds the mother plant, growing a tiny baby stem with a surprisingly extensive root system. As you can see below, each seed has 15-20 small stalks, but they are very difficult to plant, for reference, the pictures below were taken with my fingertip.

Here are the stages of a flower’s life, from tiny flower bud to opening bud, from mother to seedling:
At the end of its life, Ammania Sp. As you can see in the photo above, after too many girls are born, the bonsai starts to rot.
Duration of light – Lights on at 10am, 10pm = full 12 hours, I will gradually reduce it to 8 when winter comes.
Substrate – 1 cow dung, 1 sheep dung, 1 worm manure, 3 cheap soil, 2 peat, 0.5 natural aggregated soil

Humidification – Misting is done for 20 seconds at 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM with a misting pump. Humidity is kept between 70-80%
Temperature 68-70 with lights off and 72-74 at night, with all lights on in the factory room.
PH – 6.5 with the use of almond leaves; Be sure to change them to prevent the pH from changing too much.
I keep this plant under water in my main display container, trying to keep the stems from getting too tall as I prefer to use it in a bonsai effect. Once established in your aquarium, Amania Sp. Growing bonsai is not that difficult, just make sure you have enough light, nutrient rich substrate and pressurized CO2 supplement.
