You will receive an established and healthy Ficus Microcarpa, commonly called “Chinese Banyan”, in a 6″ ceramic pot (3 color options). This plant averages 12″ tall by 8″ wide in its container when shipped.
Ficus microcarpa will thrive in moderate to bright indirect light. Avoid extreme light such as direct sun and dark corners. Direct sunlight can burn these plants, causing leaf damage.
Ficus microcarpa likes to be evenly moist. These plants do not like their soil to dry out and like most plants, they are susceptible to root rot if their soil is too wet or wet. This plant should be watered as soon as the top layer of soil dries. Amending an ideal well-draining potting soil with peat moss will help keep your plant’s roots evenly moist, while adding perlite will ensure proper drainage and root aeration.

Do your best to keep your new plant in place for at least 5-7 days. This will help avoid any extra stress on the plant. We generally recommend leaving plants in their nursery pots until you can see signs of roots coming through the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot.
When plants are shipped, some leaves may experience small holes or minimal damage. Rest assured that this will not only affect cosmetics and plant health.
